The HOG Curriculum

The HOG Curriculum

The HOG curriculum was developed by a group of HOG members highly experienced in teaching in several tutoring projects in Germany and abroad.

It consists of schedules of 30 teaching units (TU), 16 lessons each. Within these TUs the topics are structured:

Topic – learning target – method – check-up

Thus not only a curriculum but also a wide collection of teaching methods and questions for check-up have arisen.

According to the teaching methods of the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, the first unit (10 TUs) deals with basics and treatment of acute diseases. Clear instructions are given, the remedies with typical indications are taught. In the 2nd and 3rd units the students get more familiar with the materia medica and treatment of chronical diseases, in the end they get to know the different schools within homeopathy. In addition to the lessons practical training takes place in a training practice.

What makes the HOG curriculum special is that the TUs are based on each other and are complete units, but they can be recombined on demand. The topics within one unit as well as the teaching methods can be shifted in accordance with the students. This structure makes this curriculum unique and extremely flexible.

Due to 70 additional TUs of practical training this curriculum fulfils the requirements of SHZ (Stiftung Homoeopathie Zertifikat).

The HOG curriculum is also available for other charity organizations. Homeopathic schools can obtain a reasonably-priced licence. You can order the curriculum CD at the HOG office.
